me tell you how I made His aquaintance.
had heard much of Him; but took no heed.
sent daily gifts and presents,
I never thanked Him.
often seemed to want my friendship,
but I remained cold.
was homeless, wretched and starving,
peril every hour,
He offered me shelter, comfort,
I was ungrateful still.
last He crossed my path,
with tears in His eyes
besought me, saying,

me tell you how He treats me now.
supplies all my wants.
gives me more than I dare ask.
anticipates my every need.
begs me to ask for more.
never reminds me of my past ingratitude.
never rebukes me for my past follies.
me tell you further what I think of Him.
is as good as He is great.
love is as ardent as it is true.
is as lavish of His promises
as He is faithful in keeping them.
is as jealous of my love as
He is deserving of it.
am in all things His debtor,
He bids me call Him,
